So, why get out of the restaurant? Lately, our kids, our health, and the four MissionaryMall stores are being neglected because of the time that Jenni and I spend working on the restaurant.
It breaks my heart to say this, but we are going to be closing until we can find a buyer for the restaurant that can give it the time and attention that it needs to make it sing!
If you know anyone that would be interested in owning a restaurant, please forward this on to them!
We are excited to sell, so we are asking less than what we owe which is $82,000-- for that you get all of the Orem equipment, a great lease (if you want to stay at that location it is only about $2700 a month with CAM and everything) plus all of the equipment that we still have from Provo which is quite a bit (the big Smoker, another pizza oven, a blast chiller, plus a bunch of odds and ends -- basically enough to run two restaurants). That is about half to 1/3 of what it would cost to do a buildout on a similar restaurant, plus it is ready to start hiring and open immediately.
You could even buy it for the $82,000 and then sell off the extra equipment from Provo (it is in a storage unit and half of my garage) for about $20,000+ based on what similar equipment is going for on ebay.
Our biggest month at the Smokehouse back in the day was over $60,000 in sales. With dedication and hard work I think the right person could get it back to that point.
Here is the good part-- if you wanted to resurrect the Smokehouse (which I think might be a really good idea based on customer feedback), we would give you recipes, etc. etc. as part of the purchase and we still have an old Smokehouse sign that just needs new neon.
If you are interested in being a restaurant owner, please email me at jon@missionarymall.org or text or call 801-921-9291.
Location, Location, Location
We are located at 214 East University Parkway in Orem-- right behind MissionaryMall and Village Inn if you want to stop by and see the restaurant. Just call me and I can usually be over in about 10 minutes or so to show it to you.
